Initial Presentation Strategy
Demonstrate examples of genetic/phenotypic variations as a result of solar radiation in yeast.

Demonstrate procedure of sample experiment.

Generative Learning Strategy
Students design and carry out experiment (given sample procedures and materials).

Expose light-sensitive yeast to varying levels of protection, such as sun screen; measure turbidity to quantify amount of yeast still living.

Assessment
Present results in lab report/poster format.
